  1. Cut a smooth, square end on the tubing.
  2. Slide the nut, then sleeve onto the tube (thread must face the end).
  3. Insert the tube into the fitting.
  4. Thread the nut onto the fitting until snug, then follow these guidelines: Up to 1/4 inch = 1-1/4 turns, 5/16 inch = 1-3/4 turns, 3/8 inch and up = 2-1/4 turns.
